PEANUT FLOUR

This peanut flour (produced by grinding the press cakes left over after oil extraction) is a highly valued, high-protein ingredient in modern angling. Thanks to its intense, sweet aroma and appealing peanut flavor, it is exceptionally effective for attracting cyprinid fish.

It is used in angling in two main ways:

– As an ingredient for making boilies (carp bait)
If you make your own boilies, this flour serves as a premium protein and aromatic component.
• Recommended ratio: Add up to a maximum of 20% to the dry base mix before mixing with eggs.
• Benefit: It gives the boilie a distinctive “nutty” note and a fine texture that facilitates the release of signals and liquid attractors into the water.

– As an additive to groundbait
The flour is mixed with other dry ingredients before water is added to create groundbait balls or feeder mixes.
• Recommended ratio: It is typically added at a rate of 10% to 25% of the total dry mix weight.
• Underwater effect: Since the oil has been partially removed during pressing, it will not quickly satiate (overfeed) the fish. The particles have neutral buoyancy and disperse slowly along the bottom, creating an intense scent cloud—ideal for attracting fish in muddy waters and still waters.

• Preparation note: Since peanut flour slightly reduces the overall stickiness of the mix (making it more crumbly), if you are fishing in fast-flowing rivers or deep water, combine it with stickier binding ingredients (such as PV1 or corn grits).
